Chrissy Teigen is busy doing what she does best: Making crafts and serving hilarious comebacks. The cookbook author posted a sweet video on Instagram of her making an adorable sleigh out of candy. And, of course, the trolls had to make an appearance in the comments.
In the video, Teigen takes a Kit Kat bar and — with a mixture of mini candy bars, tape, hot glue, and festive red and white string — piles them up on one end of the Kit Kat to make them look like a heap of presents. She then places a Santa chocolate in front of the “presents” and glues two candy canes underneath the Kit Kat with the hooks facing up on the far side of the gifts, making them look like the sleigh’s runners. “Made these candy sleighs today for 3rd grade holiday party and thought I’d share!” the crafty mom of four captioned her post.
She then described an incredible holiday tradition from her childhood. She and her parents would build wooden sleighs and “the most epic” saloon with stained glass, toys, pillows, wreaths, and an obstacle course for their parrot. It even had working lights since her dad was an electrician!
” … Now that I have kids and they have an endless cycle of events, I haul my butt to the sign up sheet for crafts any chance I get,” she continued. “Anyhoo, I figured I am doing this all the time anyway so I might as well share it all because crafting. Is. Awesome. It brings me peace among chaos and keeps my anxious little hands busy.”
The crafter and wife of John Legend couldn’t help but add in the comments that she ended up tying little fairy lights around the sleigh too and added that it would be “so cute” to place a little gift card among the candies.

Speaking of comments …
There was one that really got on our nerves.
“Very cute but I would never feed that poison to someone that I loved,” one person wrote.
Seriously?! Then just don’t! Why “poison” the positivity that was flowing through the comment section. “Oh lord there’s always one 🙄,” a follower said to the commenter. But don’t worry; Teigen — an expert at handling trolls — had her own answer ready.
“Beets and tofu are just a little too large for this particular craft,” Teigen responded.
Ha! Exactly. Did you expect her to make this out of vegetables?! Way to take all the fun out of this for the kids on Christmas morning. And to the followers encouraging Teigen to buy candy from an organic market instead, maybe this is what she had lying around. Honestly, aside from the Santa and the candy canes, maybe this was leftover from Halloween. And yes, those of us not worried about the “poison” are making a note to self to do exactly this with Halloween candy next year.
Teigen did get some love, though — especially for the hilarious interruption from her 8-year-old daughter Luna who asked in the middle of the video if she could have a Fruit Roll-Up.
“You’re such a relatable mom when it comes to you talking to your kids 😜,” one person commented. Another added, “The being interrupted and asked for a snack is the most relatable thing I’ve ever seen on the internet. Also adorable. 🥰”
“You can have some crackers,” Teigen conceded. “No Fruit Roll-Up.” It’s a snack compromise that probably made the Posion Police breathe a sigh of relief.
